About TonyQuain.comTony Quain is a freelance writer on contemporary economic, political, and philosophical issues. With special emphasis on economic liberalization, Tony's free-market perspective emphasizes the moral and ethical problems of government interventions. His articles have been published in The Washington Post and The Washington Times. In 1999, Tony authored The Political Reference Almanac, a thousand-page compilation of facts and figures about all things political. While it centered on the U.S. political scene, including federal legislative, executive, judicial and state and local government, it also had a large foreign government component. In 2001, Tony produced a second edition of The Political Reference Almanac. The almanac was discontinued in 2003. Tony received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Georgetown University and a Master of Arts in Economics from George Mason University. From 1995 to 2005 Tony was a consultant with the Northrop Grumman Corporation and The American Red Cross. He currently works for 3M Health Information Systems, Inc. and lives in Arlington, Virginia. |
